Why do you want to take Advanced Placement Psychology?
Psychology is the science behind the mind; the answer to every question one can have on the human mind and those inhabiting a brain. Psychology is simply a course of answers that is proved by rock solid evidence and factual research. By taking this class, I am gaining answers for the various questions I have asked. Simply put, I desire to have the knowledge others don’t even consider and sometimes, even lack. Such as why we act the way we do and what causes those reactions to take place. Answers to such questions reside in the field of psychology, the solution to all our questions regarding ourselves.
Personally, I want to be able to apply my knowledge in psychology to everyday life.

This usually involves studying relationships, emotions, personality and many more areas of a person or animals day to day life. Psychology tends to steer towards finding reasons for a person or animals actions in an attempt to resolve them.

Lawrence fiddled with a toy while listening to the radio. After the broadcast was over, he softly mumbled something, though he generally kept to himself. I listened closely since his autism typically prevented Lawrence from stringing even two words together. He had recited the entire radio program, virtually word for word, even mimicking the tone of the broadcaster's voice. My jaw dropped. At that moment I knew that I wanted to learn more about Lawrence’s autism condition so that I could help him grow, but I also hoped to dedicate myself to studying the brain both from a physiological and psychological standpoint.
Ever since my later adolescence years, I have always been intrigued by the diverse complexity of the human brain. Numerous days I have sat down obtrusively observing my surroundings just to satisfy my curiosity on how individuals think, reason and problem solve everyday life happenings. As such, when it was time to attend university, I decided to study psychology as a means of gaining knowledge and understanding about individuals’ cognitive processes and their behavior. During my undergraduate studies, for a particular reason, I was struck by Abnormal Psychology and spent hours thinking about the various disorders captured by the then Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM IV). I spent an awful lot of time trying to understand the differing disorders and how their impact on the behavior and thinking processes of individuals that are diagnosed with them.

Wilhelm Wundt believed that individuals who are appropriately trained would most likely be able to recognize the mental processes that are accompanied with feelings, thoughts and sensations (Wagner , 2009).
An Advanced Placement course is an introductory college level course for willing and able students. This course will engage students in the careful reading and critical analysis of imaginative literature. This senior level advanced placement class will provide challenges typical of an undergraduate university English literature/humanities course. This course is designed to comply with the curricular requirements described in the AP English Course Description.
Rural high schools have unique academic challenges compared to urban high schools. Location can impact educational challenges for students who otherwise would have the benefit of readily available resources. This study will investigate the motivational differences between the two locales of secondary schools with a focus on students enrolled in an Advanced Placement courses. It will integrate motivational theory and achievement goal theory in the field of education, and learning differences in Advanced Placement in both urban and rural schools.

I believe that the answers to the greatest questions and problems in life could be gained through a better understanding of the human mind. Psychology is a study of human behaviors and trying to understand why we do the things we do. Because of this I would be interested in a career in psychology though there are many different career fields within psychology. I would be most interested in a career in health psychology though there’s an extensive learning process. It is important to understand the education or training requirements,skills,and talents needed salary and benefits offered and duties for a particular career when making this decision.
