2 What intervention strategies are you most comfortable using? Why? Active listening and problem-solving techniques are where I feel most comfortable. I can build rapport and trust with others and gain a deeper understanding of their perspectives by employing these techniques. It seems evident that when individuals feel heard and understood, they are more willing to make changes. Permitting people to make their own decisions may also give them a sense of empowerment. What intervention strategies are you least comfortable using? Why? Two intervention tactics that I find least comfortable are confrontation and criticism. These tactics have the potential to worsen the situation by being interpreted as intimidating or overpowering. Using intervention tactics that prioritize the establishment of secure connections and a sense of well-being is my own preference. Infer ways in which you can strengthen the strategies with which you are least comfortable. By practicing in secure and regulated settings, like in therapy or role-playing, I can make the tactics that I find the least comfortable stronger. I can use other people's feedback if I wish to get better at using these tactics. One effective strategy to work on improving a person's least comfortable strategies is to find safe and controlled places in which to practice them.
