Ecclesiastes, ch. 3

Bible

.. I HAVE 1 seen the travail which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised therewith. He hath made everything beautiful in its time; he hath also set the world in their heart, and yet so that man cannot find out the work that God hath wrought from the beginning even unto the end … I know that whatsoever God doeth shall be for ever; nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it; and God hath done it that he be drad.  1

Note 1. Ecclesiastes, ch. iii. The last phrase is Wyclif’s. [back]
