(b. Glasgow, March 3rd, 1791; d. 1856). Author of “Discussions on Philosophy” (1852); and of lectures on metaphysics and logic, published by Professors Mansel and Veitch in 1859–60. Edited the works of Reid, with Notes and Dissertations (1846). See Veitch’s “Memoirs” and Ueberweg’s “History of Philosophy.”   1
