Toom Tabard [empty jacket].
 
A nickname given to John Baliol, because of his poor spirit, and sleeveless appointment to the throne of Scotland. The honour was an “empty jacket,” which he enjoyed a short time and then lost. He died discrowned in Normandy.   1
