QUOTATION: Our earnest prayer is that God will graciously vouchsafe prosperity, happiness, and peace to all our neighbors, and like blessings to all the peoples and powers of earth.

This was McKinley’s last speech, as he was mortally wounded the next day at the Exposition. He served in Congress 1877–1884 and 1885–1891.
