feature (n., v.)

The noun, meaning “a characteristic or a part, especially a prominent part,” is Standard, even though it has occasionally been faulted, perhaps for its associations with the world of entertainment: One noteworthy feature of the performance was his drum solo. As verb, meaning “give prominence to,” feature is also Standard: The concert will feature a piano concerto. Only the use of the verb meaning “to conceive of, to imagine,” as in Can you feature her having the nerve to ask him? is slang and mainly Casual slang at that.  1
