meaning usually “a bathhouse or shelter at a beach or pool,” is a Spanish word. Americans pronounce it kuh-BAN-yuh, kuh-BAHN-yuh, kuh-BAN-uh, and kuh-BAHN-uh and usually spell it without the tilde: cabana.  1
