Apparently means “this statement appears to be true, although it might not be,” and evidently means “the evidence suggests the statement is true, and I know of nothing to contradict it.” Apparently she’s a good student, but I haven’t seen her transcript. Evidently she’s a good student: her transcript is full of high grades in demanding courses.  1
