druggist, pharmacist (nn.)
 
 
Druggist is still in use, but pharmacist is replacing it, especially when it refers to the person licensed to fill prescriptions. Druggist is sometimes used loosely to refer to the owner of a drugstore, whether a pharmacist or not.  1
