aware (adj.)
means alert, as in She was wide awake and fully aware of the night noises, and knowing, informed, as in He was well aware of their interest in the project. Aware can be used in either adjunct or predicate adjective positions (Hes an aware sort of person. He is always aware of his surroundings), and it combines regularly with of (Shes aware of the difference) and with that clauses (They became aware that something was wrong).
