another, additional, more (adjs.)
 
 
All three can modify count nouns, as in another drink, additional drinks, and more drinks. For a mass noun such as water, however, both additional water and more water will work, but another water usually will not. Some purists have argued that since another means “one more,” you ought not to say or write There were another ten entrants that year, when what you really mean is “There were ten more (or additional) entrants that year,” but usually only Edited English respects this distinction. Please your own ear.  1
