QUOTATION:Where’s the beef?
ATTRIBUTION:Walter F. Mondale (b. 1928), U.S. Democratic politician, vice president. Campaign slogan for 1984 Democratic presidential nomination. Advertising and political slogan.

Originally used to advertise Wendy’s Hamburgers, the words were taken up by Mondale’s campaign team after a televised debate in which the candidate told rival Gary Hart, “When I hear your new ideas, I’m reminded of that ad, Where’s the beef?” (March 11, 1984).
