ATTRIBUTION:Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875–1950). Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan), in Tarzan the Ape Man (film) (1932).

In Burroughs’ book Tarzan of the Apes (1914), Tarzan’s words are: “I am Tarzan of the Apes. I want you. I am yours. You are mine.” (Ch. 18).
