(türn´hout) (KEY) , commune (1991 pop. 37,874), Antwerp prov., N Belgium, near the Dutch border. Manufactures of this industrial city include paper products, bricks, flour, leather goods, and electrical equipment. Of note is a 13th-century castle, the former seat of the dukes of Brabant. The castle serves as a judicial center.
