(p k´´älông´gän) (KEY) , city (1990 pop. 242,714), N central Java, Indonesia, on the Java Sea. It is a textile and batik center and the principal port for central Java; sugar, rubber, and tea are exported. A Dutch fort there was built in 1753. |
