Kayser, Heinrich Gustav Johannes
 
 
(hn´rkh gs´täf yhän´s k´zr) (KEY) , 1853–1940, German physicist. He was professor at Bonn from 1894 to 1920. He is known for his work in sound and, in association with C. D. T. Runge, in spectrum analysis. He wrote a handbook of spectroscopy (1901–12) and a treatise on the electron theory (1905).
