or Hungtse (both: hng´dz) (KEY) , lake, 65 mi (105 km) long, E China, on the border of Anhui and Jiangsu provs. It receives the Huai River and is connected with the Grand Canal. The Sanhe dam, with the largest hydraulic works along the Huai River, is at the outlet of the lake.
