(´bl) (KEY) , town (1991 pop. 33,964), in Campania, S Italy. It is an agricultural and market center. A medieval castle dominates the town. Nearby are the ruins of Eburum, which was colonized by the Greeks, flourished under the Romans, and was destroyed (5th cent. A.D.) by the Visigoths.
