A monogram and symbol for Christ, consisting of the superimposed Greek letters chi () and rho (), often embroidered on altar cloths and clerical vestments. Also called Christogram.
ETYMOLOGY: chi1 + rho, first two letters of Greek Khrstos, Christ.
