ADJECTIVE: Having a prostyle or set of columns at each end but none along the sides, as in some Greek temples.
ETYMOLOGY:Latin amphiprostlos, from Greek amphiprostlos : amphi-, amphi- + prostlos, with pillars in front; see prostyle.
