NOUN:1. Something enormous in size or power. 2. often Behemoth A huge animal, possibly the hippopotamus, described in the Bible.
ETYMOLOGY:Middle English behemoth, bemoth, from Hebrew bhmôt, pl. of bh, beast. See bhm in Appendix II.
