Death

Elfrida De Renne Barrow

DRIFTWOOD am I,

And oblivion seems like the sea

That comes creeping, creeping

Nearer to me.

Some day a wave

Will pass all the others by,

And come lapping, lapping

To where I lie.

Then on the tide

I shall be taken out to sea,

Until nothing, nothing

Is left of me.
