Girl

Loureine Aber

From “City Lanes”

DREAMILY, girl—

Duskily, night,

Cover your dead.

Make a plot by the old stream’s head,

Plant him and pray

Till worlds make way

And the blooms come.

Duskily, night—

Dreamily, girl.
