| O LITTLE town of Bethlehem, | |
| How still we see thee lie! | |
| Above thy deep and dreamless sleep | |
| The silent stars go by; | |

| The hopes and fears of all the years | |
| Are met in thee to-night. | |

| For Christ is born of Mary, | |
