- What are the basic concepts to chose the number, type and location of feed water heaters in a regenerative cycle? WaChoose the correct answer and show COMPLETEsolution. (Regenerative Cycle-Open Feedwater Heater)Power generation using steam is one of the most common method which can be found around the world. In these type of power plants, steam goes through a basic thermodynamic cycle called Rankine cycle which is shown in the following figure. Steam flow Boiler Qin Pump Wout Win Condenser For the proper operation of the cycle, water should be pumped to the boiler using pump which required work input (Wn) to the cycle. Heat energy should be supplied to the boiler (Qin) to generate steam and then high pressure steam is fed to the turbine. By extracting the energy from high pressure steam, turbine is producing work output (Wout)- Because of this, the steam pressure is reduced and low pressure steam is flowing into the condenser. Condenser removes heat energy from steam further (Qout) and steam is converted into liquid water. The liquid water can be pumped into the boiler again and the cycle continues. Performance of a Ranking cycle can be evaluated by using thermal efficiency (neh)which is…

The two reheater pressures are 10 bar and 0.6 bar, and the steam leaves each reheater at 480°C. Condensation occurs at 0.03 bar. What is the steam flow rate in kg/s for an engine output of 20,000 kW?I need help with some or all of this problem for thermo! thank you A heat engine with a thermal efficiency of 45% rejects 1000 kJ/kg of heat to a low temperature sink. a. How much heat does it receive (kJ/kg)? b. How much work does it produce (kJ/kg)? c. If the cycle operates between temperatures of 400°C and 50°C, what is the maximum amount of work that this cycle can produce (kJ/kg)? d. A Carnot heat pump operates between 273 K and 313 K, determine its Coefficient of Performance.Question 3. The process diagram of a binary power plant with an ORC-process, utilizing geothermal energy, is presented in figure 1 below. Generator efficiency is 94%, generator output power is 180 kW and evaporator heat power is 2590 kW. Calculate the turbine output power. Round off your answer to one an integer.
