Along with the Benefit Measurement Method, Constrained optimization method can also be used which involves mathematical approach. Since this method involves the mathematical approach, several calculations are performed in order to take a decision to accept or reject the project. “Mathematical models, also known as Constrained Optimization Methods, are a category of project selection methods, which is a tool and technique of the Develop Project Charter process” (PMP, 2008). Cost-benefit analysis is one of the methods which fall into this category. All the positives and negatives of the project are taken into consideration and then the negatives are carefully excluded from the benefits. Different results are produced for the different projects. The most worthy and financially rewarding option are selected from these results. When employing this method, there are many things that are to be considered such as the impact of the decision on the development of the organization in the future, the length of time the equipment lasts and whether it is possible to do the cost control during the project.
Application of portfolio process
The Constrained optimization method can be

Shakespeare Inc., a private publishing company issued its F/S on March 20, 2012. There were several accruals and events that the management of Shakespeare is considering to determine if they should be recognized or disclosed in Dec 31, 2011 F/S. In my opinion, the important things to focus on subsequent events are the period they effect and if their influence is material or not, so that in conclusion, the F/S are fairly presented.

I conducted a conference call with Vice President of Claims, Mr. Petro. I advised that overall I found no deficiencies in their management of claims or in their reserve practices, other than the two claims where the adjuster did not comply with Hylant’s reserve protocol. It was suggested that should have a more formalized litigation bill review where someone other than the adjuster review for proper billing and litigation compliance. Mr. Perto believes the current process in place where the adjusters audit the legal invoice is adequate at this time, but will take it under consideration.
Virginia Beach focuses in on demographic and behavioral segmentation to appeal to potential tourists (pg. 89). They think of age ranges and what is going on in that time of your life and create advertisements to appeal to you. They call this “what each group lives for” (pg. 89) Since Virginia Beach focuses in on each demographic by age group they should also focus in on income. Ten moths ago I hired a salesman with Chinese origin to help the company to take over the Chinese businesses in Plano, Texas. I cannot “click on personal level” with him since the very beginning of our relationship which is causing troubles in our communications. Another reason for our communication problem could be the different cultural background we have and our opposite personalities. I believe employees should be able to connect to their leader to become good followers. I think I am extrovert and should be able to get closer to him over time but there are some other issues that I
