Illegalizing Abortion This newborn, was not even her husband’s, but the new mother did not have a choice. The man in the ally took everything away from her. She did not have a choice then. She considered taking the little fetus out was going to be so easy, but now sitting here, in this little hospital bed, holding this precious crying bundle of life, it was never her choice to do the same to her baby. To take everything away from her child. But she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She could not take everything from someone who did not even have the voice to say otherwise. Taking the life away from unborn baby is not someone else’s, choice it is theirs. There are too many things in this world that may harm a person and abortion is one of …show more content…
Well, that abortion she had has now caused her to not have children ever again. Because once the procedure is said and done, it is very likely that the woman cannot have a healthy birth afterwards. Even so much as to say they can never have a child again. However, if the woman can have a child, things such as low birth rate can be expected (“Result Filters” 1). This can be caused within the procedure or even in the course of a chain of events. It has been said that “Foetal tissue left in the womb can rot, leading to infection and sterility. Perforation of the uterus can lead to removal of the uterus.” (“Abortion and Infertility” 1). However, it can also be noted that the rotting tissue can go unnoticed and can also lead to death. All that future planning down the drain, and all for a silly thing she did in high school. With the matter of abortion, the two sides are called “Pro Life” and “Pro Choice”. The supporting side, saying that one can abort a baby is “Pro Choice” claiming that it is the mother’s choice whether or not they want to have a baby. However, it has never been someone’s choice to randomly kill another human being. If one person chose to kill another on the streets and say it was their choice to kill them and that it is perfectly ok, is a good example. One cannot murder and have it be ok, so then it would not be any different when it comes to destroying
Mother Teresa once said “The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between”. Abortion is an intolerable act in which is more of a selfish act more than a selfless act. In the early 1800’s abortion was created in the western part of Europe, as big of a problem it became the Supreme Court legalized it in 1973 but big questions and concerns are still brought up about abortion. Abortion is to be considered the easy way out of responsibility and should not be taken advantage of. Abortion should be illegal because is a dangerous procedure, it’s unethical, and it is murder.
Pro-choice vs pro-life (abortion) is a huge moral issue that is still a problem today. There are many sides to whether or not women should have the right to receive an abortion. Abortion is defined as “termination of pregnancy before the fetus is viable” (CITATION). Many women face problems where abortion is the right choice for them, but still feel obligated to have the child. For example, if they’re in an abusive relationship: she should not have the child in fear of him/her growing up with nothing but abuse in the household. (S)he will most likely grow up to have anxiety and depression. Abortion is an issue that needs to be fixed. Women should have the right to do what she wants with her own

¨Out of 42 million abortions annually, only 1% abortions are caused by rape or incest. 6% are performed because of health issues. However, 93% of abortions occur because the child is unwanted or is an inconvenience¨("Abortion Facts| Facts on Abortion | Abortion Facts and Statistics”). People in the world kill 39,060,000 babies a year just because they are inconvenient. Babies don't have a voice to speak out or give their opinion. But, their mothers, make the decisions for them. The decision is to die. An article named ¨Abortion¨ on Gale Literary Devices states that ¨The idea of choice—that a woman has a right to choose what she does with her body—comes in here. But is this right greater than a fetus’s right to life?”(“Abortion”) The answer is no. Everyone has their own right to speak for themselves, so should the fetus. Another example of how selfish abortion is, is this, “A controversy began in 1988 over a drug, developed in France, called RU 486, which, when taken during the first seven weeks of pregnancy, causes the embryo to become detached from the uterus. The drug was reported to safer and less expensive than surgical abortion”(“Abortion” 11). In the quote, the drug is apparently safer and less expensive. The drug that makes you basically birth a dead baby is safer and less expensive for the woman. So, the woman chooses a pill that is very destructive and painful for the baby, but it is
When a mother gets an abortion, and wants a baby and gets pregnant it might lead to medical problems for the mother. When the mother gets pregnant they might experience lots of miscarriages, and they might get breast cancer because of the abortion that they had before. According to Proconorg Headlines, “In the United States, black women are 3.3 times as likely as white women to have an abortion” (Abortion ProCon.org). The mother might experience some things during pregnancy its
Women that are seeking to have abortions have always played on the risk of having health concerns for themselves as a result of the medical operation.. The supreme court has decided to come forth with ways to make abortions safer for them, as well as, the issue of the locations of the clinics. Abortions themselves been around for the past fifty years with the supreme court issuing for the healths of women’s to be more of a solution, as well as, the result of abortions being more of a thing that women would decide to get instead of adoptions for the child.
“According to WHO and Guttmacher, approximately 68,000 women die annually as a result of complications of unsafe abortion” but these numbers would go down if abortion was legal. (Theodore) Abortion is “the termination of a pregnancy” (Merriam-Webster) and there are two sides to the abortion conflict. Pro-choice, where people believe it should be legal and readily available for those who wish to obtain one, and then there is pro-life, where people believe it should be illegal, some even going as far to say that there should be a punishment for the women who have abortions. Some common arguments about why abortion should be legal and easier to obtain includes that it is not so much the government’s place to have a say as
Abortion kills millions, Needless to say, If everyone waited till marriage, Those numbers would go away. Choosing chastity saves lives, that deserve to live just like you and I. You are truly holy when you make the promise to stay chaste, It will lead to forever happiness and you will live in God’s grace.
When it comes to causes of death, things like heart disease and cancer come to mind. Those are the top 2 causes of death in America, according to the CDC. Each illness kills several hundred -thousand per year. There is something that kills multiples of what those illnesses do. It’s Abortion. The World Health organization estimates that are between 40 and 50 million abortions per year worldwide. Abortion must be banned completely because those are still human lives being taken. Every person, born or not deserves the right to live.
You can choose for yourself if you want an abortion, but you can't decide for the person next to you, and they can’t decide for you. It is a personal health care decision that is between the doctor and the patient. Likewise, if the person or their child could benefit from an abortion, then that is their decision. “If it comes to a clash between the supposed interests of potentially rational but not yet even conscious beings and the vital interests of actually rational women, we should give preference to the women every time.” (Singer, Peter) This means that a fetus is not yet self aware, and therefore not a rational being, while a woman is an aware and rational being. She has the power to make decisions while the fetus is essentially unaware of
“Being pro-choice is trusting the individual to make the right decision for herself and her family, and not entrusting that decision to anyone wearing the authority of government in any regard” (Hillary Clinton) Abortion is the terminating of a pregnancy, and if you have been catching up on the news places like planned parenthood has been getting a lot of attention for example, they are being defunded and are relying on donations. The fact that making abortion illegal and defunding places like planned parenthood confuses me. Abortion will happen with or without professionals, children shouldn’t live without a loving family and, it’s a personal choice.
There are many reasons to be against abortion. There are studies shown that the babies can feel more than adults. They react just like an adult. When a limb is torn the baby bleeds to death, when they do an intracardical injection it causes the baby to go into cardiac arrest and have a heart attack. So the baby might not be able to react to pain but they can feel the pain (doctors on fetal pain , 2015). Also with abortion there is a small chance that the abortion can fail. The result can be devastating some the babies can be born alive after the procedure is done. Some the baby will continue to develop but the procedure attempting to kill the baby will just injure it. If the baby is born alive is some practices they will they leave the baby unattended until it dies. The gestational period to get an abortion is at the latest 24 weeks. Thought the baby can survive outside the womb at 24 weeks with a chance of survival at 55-70%. Sadly 12,000 babies are born alive due to a failed abortion. The likely hood of a child getting care after a botch abortion is slim to none. There are many campaigns in place to stand up and have a voice for the babies that never got the chance to be born. There are some states that have laws in place to persuade the mothers to keep the baby. The one law that is in over 24 states is the ultra sound law. The ultra sound law is the mother is required to see her baby and listen to the heart beat. In the
When women get pregnant, there options are very limited. They have to choose between raising the baby, having it and giving it up for adoption or, aborting. 1 in 3 women in the U.S choose aborting their babies. Aborting your child is not always the right thing to do. Little do people know, it damages women’s bodies and puts them in a lot of pain in many ways. In a short-term, it starts hurting women physically, but also mentally. Surgical abortion is an intrusive procedure that violently interrupts a natural biological process. Documented complications include: hemorrhage, infection, cervical damage, uterine perforation, pelvic inflammatory disease, and retained fetal or placental tissue. These complications can also affect future fertility.
The abortion debate is the ongoing controversy surrounding the moral, legal, and religious status of induced abortion. The sides involved are the self-described “pro-choices” and “pro-life” movements. Pro-choice emphasizes the right of women to decide whether to terminate a pregnancy. Pro-life movement emphasizes the right to the embryo or fetus to be carried full term and be born. Both terms are considered loaded to mainstream media, where terms such as “abortion rights” or “anti-abortion” are generally preferred. Each movement has influenced public opinion in order to obtain legal support for its position, with small numbers of anti-abortion advocates sometimes using violence.
Another way is to srigley take the baby out the the mother. These happen in 6-16 week of pregnancy. These of abortion id called suction aspiration, suction curettage, or vacuum aspiration. An instrument
