It’s the tale as old as time, the monster that lurks within the shadows under the bed, or withering in the corner of the closet. The child tremors until the parent checks the entire room, vanishing all doubts of safety. As a child, I shared these fears, but as I outgrew these demons I learned that the real angst was always hiding within my self; the fear of the unknown. It’s uncontrollable, and only discovered once time has revealed its destiny. It goes beyond the standard questions of why or what. The anxiety that fell upon me was so overwhelming it disturbed my everyday; making the future my personal villain.
Hello, I am known as the Creature, and I am creating this paper to document what has happened after my supposed death. Humans believe that I was terminated from Earth after I drifted off into the ice cold ocean. It had been many days where I lay afloat, with absolutely no food supply or warmth. I was in solitude, and I knew that this was the end for me. Besides the frigid cold and the hypoglycemia, I finally felt happy with myself. I wouldn’t have to deal with the hostile and rude humans, I would go to a better place—a happier place. But, unfortunately, fate decided that I would stay on Earth, as I kept frozen for more than 200 years, preserved in the ice. I woke up to find myself on a granulated surface accompanied with an intense heat,
Critical Paper: Frankenstein Nature is a huge part of life. Heck, us human beings are, arguably, the biggest part of nature. And since we’re a part of nature, that means the feelings we feel and choices we make are, by extension, a part of nature as well.
