At Brewton-Parker College, the campuses community is quite small. I cannot decide if it is a good thing that everyone knows each other. Because the school’s population is not quite as high as a big university, everyone knows everyone’s business. No matter what someone does, good or bad, it gets out, but for me the size in beneficial. The less people there are, the less chance I have of getting distracted. I love how small the classes are, too, because my teachers actually knows who I am. Also, when I need help with what we’re learning or I just have a simple question, I can easily ask my teacher, and he or she can help me better understand what is going on. The teachers here, at Brewton-Parker College, are kind and beyond willing to help me, no matter how long it takes; help is always there when I need it. For instance, the library has become my best friend. I like how I can go and have my own table to get a good amount of work done, and the books are such a useful resource for …show more content…
This was the only school that gave me an offer for baseball, and I have always wanted to continue my baseball career in college, so I happily accepted. All through high school my grades were never anything but average, but I am doing a lot better here, and it is still only my first semester. College has definitely been more challenging than high school. I have to take it upon myself to do my work on my own and be responsible, because no one is checking up on me to make sure I have it done and turn it in on time. I am doing much better here, though, because I have a remarkable amount of time on my hands, so I can do my work when I feel that it fits into my schedule. This is where high school and college differ, if I do not do my work, it is completely my fault, and I have to suffer the consequences. This is causing me to mature on my own, though, and take responsibility for my actions or the actions I do not

In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania of 1837, the first higher education institution for African Americans was founded on February 25th given the name Institute for Colored Youth (originally the African Institute). After changing its name again to Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and moving to Delaware County, Pennsylvania, it continues as the oldest predominantly African American school of higher learning. The school taught basic subjects such as math, reading and writing, as well as agriculture and mechanics. Humphreys envisioned the institute to train people of color to become teachers who would further instruct more young men and

I came into Norwalk Community College looking for a fresh start. I previously attended a 4 year university that became too much for me; attending school full-time, working 30 hours per week while trying to enjoy the college experience. At the cost of an “experience” I ended up failing most of my classes, putting my health at risk drowned by the tremendous amount of stress and just wanted to completely give up. Looking for a fresh start I decided to leave my University, and attend Norwalk Community College. Though this decision created self-doubt in the beginning, it soon came to my realization that it was the best decision I ever made. Immersed in an environment full of positive people, I was able to put my pieces back together.
When we are young, we usually think that the only existing careers in the world are police officers, doctors, astronauts, etc. At least that is what I thought; I never knew what I wanted to be. I always changed my mind every time they asked, but now I am in high school, and I have a concrete answer. I want to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist, and in order to achieve my goal, I need to finish my bachelor’s and transfer to a college that offers a PT program. Texas State University is one of the 12 universities in Texas that offers a graduate physical therapy program. This is what my research paper will be consisting of, information about Texas State University, the university I wish to attend, after I finish my
As a military wife one of my greatest duties is to support my husband while he supports our nation. That duty has led to our family having to relocate and change many aspects of our lives including which school I attend. I am thankful that that obligation is now making it possible for me to potentially attend The George Washington University. While transferring midway through a degree certainly is not ideal I do feel like this is a remarkable opportunity that I am eager to embrace. I cannot help but feel as if my journey in higher education is finally getting where it was supposed to be all along. As a teenager, I envisioned life at my age and it never involved four children and a halfway complete English degree. I had planned to attend the university in my hometown and then, after four perfect years of course, become a wonderful high school English teacher just doing what I loved every day.

My perfect fantasy vacation is going for a trip to Hogward School for Witchcraft and Wizardry . This place is interesting because all the magicians around the world gather here . The environment there is full of mysteries and suspends which will surely bring me goosebumps . Hogward school is hidden from ordinary human sight because the journey requires witches and wizards to magically ram their way into a platform in a London train station, and they will exit in the magic world before going through obstacles and it is a long journey to arrive there . Furthermore the structure of the school building is mesmerizing and magnificent with hanging chandelier all over the ceiling. Moreover it was build since thousand years ago . A lot of powerful
